Our Mission
Our mission is to save as many dogs off the streets as well as dogs on euthanasia lists at shelters across Texas. We spay and neuter all dogs in hopes of reducing the number of unwanted dogs in our state. Our goal is to find them homes full of love and compassion.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the lives you helped change this year. Because of your kindness, dogs who once faced neglect, hunger, or uncertainty are now safe, healthy, and loved.Update… 12-27 we got him and he is safe! Please help with donations. Pics in thread below.
UPDATE… We are on our way out to get the dog! He has been spotted!
Update… we are waiting for update from the lady who asked for help for this pup. Will update as soon as we get an one from her.
We received a text message asking for help with a dog that has part of his faced ripped off one side and a possible broken back leg. I don’t know how long the dog has been living like this, but he is extremely sweet and good with other dogs.
Please pledge! We are working on trying to find a solution for this poor dog. Apparently two dogs were
attacking him. They bully him.

UPDATE… the lady who reached out is saying she hasnt seen the puppies since Tuesday. She is checking with the neighbors.

WUWF is in need of donations, as adoptions have slowed tremendously due to the changes on Petfinder!
We still have over 200 dogs and some still need to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. We just took in two moms and their litters. These were dogs we were working on prior to the changes on Petfinder. We also took in some dogs that were trapped.
We are still trying to help people find solutions for dogs that they are finding on the streets. But taking to a shelter now is worse than ever.
Please help us continue to save lives! Petfinder is claiming they will have a solution to this problem in January. We are trying hard to make it through this tough time! Thank you everyone who have donated and continue to support WUWF and the work we do!!
