Our Mission
Our mission is to save as many dogs off the streets as well as dogs on euthanasia lists at shelters across Texas. We spay and neuter all dogs in hopes of reducing the number of unwanted dogs in our state. Our goal is to find them homes full of love and compassion.
443 Furever Homes in 2025
WUWF is proud to announce that 443 dogs found their forever homes in 2024! That is a total of 874 dogs in the last two years. This milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved.
Here's to even more happy tails in the future!
UPDATE… a foster stepped up. She was picked up tonight and will be transported to the foster in the morning. Please donate to help with this poor girls vetting and to help us to be able to continue to save more lives.
Urgent‼️ We need a foster for two weeks!! She will die on this busy back road! Cars fly through there! Houston, Texas.
She is very sweet. She still a baby. She is starving and all alone out there. We can only imagine how scary and lonely it is for her. I’m sure she wonders why they left her out there and if they are coming back.
The street feeder just got a call that she is standing in the middle of the road and cars are honking for her to move. She won’t make it out there…
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE foster even if only for a a week or two. She deserves better than this!!

Miss Molly is the biggest sweetheart!! She is the biggest love bug, which should have been her name:). She is coming along and loves everyone she meets.
When we received the call from the police officer, we had no idea what we were going to do. We did know we didn’t want her to end up being another dog killed in a shelter.
I just wanted to share again the pictures of her barely walking. She had just given up. Curled up on hot cement, in the sun. Tail tucked between her legs with head hanging low. She was so sad.
She is heartworm positive, which isn’t a surprise. We are trying to raise funds for her meds and injections. Please donate. All donations help. She would thank you if she could❤️🐕.

The Houston World Series of Dog Shows takes place in Houston, Texas at NRG Center, located within NRG Park. We received a call from a police officer this morning. She is working at a Sam’s Club in East Houston. There is a Shar Pei Mix that has been dumped there. She has some mange on her back and and is not in great shape:(. This poor girl appears to have had more than one little. Probably used for breeding.
She is timid, walking with her little tail between her legs😢💔. She is scared and exhausted. She looks like she has just given up. It’s heartbreaking.
We would love to help her. We would need to raise some funds. If we can raise boarding for a few weeks, we could then move her to our facility when one of the dogs leaves on transport.
Please help us raise the funds. We don’t want to leave her there and the officer said she would need to call Barc if we can’t help.
