Our Mission
Our mission is to save as many dogs off the streets as well as dogs on euthanasia lists at shelters across Texas. We spay and neuter all dogs in hopes of reducing the number of unwanted dogs in our state. Our goal is to find them homes full of love and compassion.
443 Furever Homes in 2025
WUWF is proud to announce that 443 dogs found their forever homes in 2024! That is a total of 874 dogs in the last two years. This milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved.

This poor little dog was dumped on the streets. He sat in this same spot waiting for his owner. You could tell he was feeling defeated. People just don’t realize what these poor dogs go through when they lose their families.

Summer is still waiting for her forever family! I don’t understand how this sweet girl hasn’t been snatched up!
She is 7 months old, fully vetted, and dog and kid friendly! The best way to describe her is a tiny pit mix. People are shocked when they see her in person because she’s not as big as she looks. Summer would thrive with another furry companion and is ready for her next chapter!
